Until last year, my day job was at WNS Assistance, where I beavered away doing many things since 2002. WNSA is an accident management company, working with business to outsource their motor, property and legal claims, from incident to repair.
Graphic design was my main responsibility, creating brochures, posters, and many other things. I also helped the sales team with their documents and presentations, making sure they are on brand, tidy and appealing (the documents, not the sales team).
Nowhere was this more important than in tender responses to win new clients. This was taken further over the last couple of years to videos to showcase the company’s tailored software solutions.
The company website was my responsibility, which is built in WordPress. Working with the team who write the content, I sorted out the branding, functionality and configuration.
Photography played a part too, I was there for events, profile shots and anything and everything in between. The quiz nights and Christmas parties were my favourites.
Even my cartooning skills were put into use. Every Christmas I worked with Galaxy Graphics to create games for clients to play. I created the visuals, and Galaxy Graphics made the game. Year after year they proved to be popular, and were a worthy replacement to sending out regular Christmas cards.
